Boat Repair Software Update

There is a new update coming soon which will make some massive improvement to the way marine boat repair workshops / marine repair workshops run their business.

Less than two weeks ago we sent an email to all our customers asking for feedback on how we can improve industry specific aspects of Dealership Software. We received a number of responses from boat repair workshops and we are very pleased to say that we have delivered on that feedback in very quick time. Our goal is to create a system that is flexible enough to handle multiple industries, be specific to those industries, and ensure that the complexity of the application does not increase. We believe this has been achieved with this new update.

The “Vehicle” view has been significantly impacted, specifically for boat/marine with the following information:

• Addition of a number of fields including:
  • HIN
  • Hull type (Including drop down list – See image)
  • Hull Material (including drop down list – see image)
  • Berths
  • Cabins
  • Beam
  • Draft
  • Marina Location

• Ability to add up to 4 engines with all the applicable details for each engine.

• View details of the trailer
  • Registraion
  • Make
  • Model
  • VIN
  • Notes

You can also change the name that appears in the menu. For example, you can change “Vehicles” to “Boats”. You can set this up in the Company Settings and enter any word(s) that you wish.

Simply choose any “Body Type” that is part of the “Marine” group and you will automatically see the different screen for the boat. Note that you need to have “Advanced Vehicle Fields” turned on in the Company Settings.
