What it is
Inspections the customer can approve from a phone
Photo and video inspections, sent to the customer, approved on their phone. Declined work is usually work the customer did not understand.
What it does for a dealer
In practice
- Show the problem instead of describing it.
- Approvals come back in writing, attached to the job.
- A record of what was recommended, if it is ever disputed.

What you can do with it
An inspection is worth having only if the customer sees it and can act on it without a phone call that turns into a negotiation.
- Build your own inspection templates, and copy an existing template rather than starting again.
- Group inspections so a pre delivery, a service and a trade in appraisal each have their own checklist.
- Photos and video taken on the phone attach to the inspection, not to somebody's camera roll.
- Save as a draft, review it, then send it.
- The customer approves or declines items themselves, on a phone, without calling.
- Approved items convert to work on the job rather than being retyped.
- The inspection stays attached to the unit, so the next person can see what was flagged last time.
- Works the same for a pre delivery check on a unit you are selling as for a customer's service.
For a dealer the pre delivery use is the one that pays for itself. The same tool that sells extra work in the workshop is the record that a unit left your floor complete.

Inspections in the product
Recorded in Workshop Software. DealershipSoft is the same platform with unit sales added, so this works the same way.

There's nothing complicated about getting started, and you won't be doing it alone. We'll show you how to set it up around the way your dealership already runs, then stay in touch while you find your feet.
