Boats, motors and trailers, and the workshop behind them

Your stock, on boatsales
DealershipSoft syndicates to the carsales network, which carries boatsales alongside the other categories in this list. Stock you have already entered once goes out to the listing site without being typed again.
Straight answer
What we do not do
Engine hours are recorded on the job card and kept on the unit record. They do not trigger the next service booking. Scheduling runs on date. If hours driven scheduling is the reason you would buy, say so on the call and we will tell you straight.

Questions marine dealers ask
Straight answers, before the demo
Can I sell a hull, motor and trailer on the one deal?
Yes. Each one can be its own unit with its own serial or HIN, and all three go on the one invoice as a package. Fitted extras and accessories go on the same deal as parts. A trade-in comes in as its own unit rather than a line on the invoice, so it carries its own record from the day you take it. Rigging and PDI hours and parts land back on the package cost, so the margin you discount against is the real one.
Does it run the workshop as well as boat sales?
Both, and the workshop half is the part that is unusually good. Retail, warranty, internal and recon jobs sit on one screen, parts come off stock onto the job, and technician hours are booked against it. That means you can see sold time against actual time weekly, in the season when it still changes something, rather than a month after it mattered.
How does it track boat inventory and what a unit actually cost?
Every unit carries its serial or HIN, the supplier and what you paid, and it stays on that record from acquisition to sale. Rigging, PDI, parts and labour land back against the unit, so the cost you are looking at is the true one and not the purchase invoice. Parts stock runs on minimum and maximum levels, and parts used on a job come off stock and onto that job.
What happens to a boat's service history when it is traded in?
It follows the boat, not the buyer. Every job, part and inspection stays on the unit record, so when a boat you sold four years ago comes back in as a trade, you can see what was done to it and price it on evidence rather than on what the owner remembers.
Can it schedule the next service on engine hours?
No, and it is worth knowing before the demo rather than during it. Engine hours are recorded on the job card and kept on the unit record, so the history is there, but scheduling and service reminders run on dates.
Give it two weeks. We'll help you get set up.
There's nothing complicated about getting started, and you won't be doing it alone. We'll show you how to set it up around the way your dealership already runs, then stay in touch while you find your feet.
